National Heart Month

It seems obvious when you think about it, but we should all take good care of our hearts – probably a lot better than we are doing. There isn’t just one factor involved, good heart care is a range of things: good diet, exercise, sensible use of alcohol, giving up smoking are all part of it, along with having a lifestyle which minimises stress and other pressures. The main organisation for heart care in the UK is the British Heart Foundation. Their website can be found here:

It’s well worth starting there and looking round the rest of the site, as there is a mass of useful information available. The BHF promote National Heart Month with the “Rock Up In Red” campaign, so if you should see people dressed in red tomorrow they won’t be delayed Santas! I’ll be wearing red to work tomorrow – well, a tie anyway! Details of the campaign are on a separate site, here:
