This Friday, 21st June , is Wrong Trousers Day. It won’t come as a surprise to those who know the fabulous Wallace and Gromit films that this Day is connected to them. It began as a national day 10 years ago, following a regional start in the South West, and is the annual day for Wallace and Gromit’s Children’s Foundation. After some previous work supporting a number of hospices the Foundation was formed in 2003 to support sick children throughout the UK. As a part of the celebration, we are encouraged to wear the wackiest trousers we can find, as well as donating. Those who know me will not be surprised to hear that I’ll be foregoing the trousers part of that – I mean, I’ll be wearing trousers, but just my usual, boring ones!
I can’t imagine there would be anyone who would deny that this is a very worthy cause, and I hope you’ll support it for the sake of those children who so badly need your help. To learn more and to donate the Foundation’s website has all that you need.
And if you fancy a little reminder of the films, or if you’ve never heard of them, try this:
